The team from the National Cleaner Production Center-Industry Symbiosis Program (NCPC-ISP) recently visited the Vanderbijlpark operations of Exergy Enviro Group. As a division of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the NCPC-ISP is tasked with promoting collaboration among industries to share resources.
This visit is a continuation of the ongoing engagement under the memorandum of understanding. The aim of the site visit is to provide access to necessary resources, expedite the renovation of the waste processing facility, and attract external sponsors who support the project's goals.
The delegates plan to report on the initiative's progress, intending to further highlight the intervention on various platforms where the ISP has been influential.
In collaboration with Bright Phoenix, we are dedicated to achieving the main goal of converting plastic waste into valuable raw materials for the manufacturing processes of beneficiation industries. Once the facility is fully operational, it will establish a precedent for other related activities planned at the center.
Additionally, the project will communicate its achievements to national government entities, including the CSIR-NCPC and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (thedtic), and seeks to garner support from the Black Industrialist Scheme.
We anticipate building such mutually beneficial partnerships with both industry and government.
